What is rcr’s Community Home Care (CHC) membership service?
The Community Home Care (CHC) membership service is our subscription-based program designed to help maintain your home with ease by offering routine inspections, priority service & maintenance, expert advice and discounts. It helps homeowners and tenants stay on top of home upkeep while supporting those in need in the Liverpool City Region.
Members can choose from three tiers—Essential, Standard, and Premium—depending on their needs and budget.
Can tenants become chc members, or do i need to own my home?
Absolutely! Our aim is to offer piece of mind that we are there to help our community look after their home. As either a home owner or a tenant living in rented property (social or private), you can have that piece of mind. RCR will require tenants to provide written evidence that the landlord/ property owner has given permission for the property to be maintained.

How do I sign up for the CHC Membership?
You can sign up for the CHC Membership by visiting our CHC Sign Up Page and selecting the ‘Sign Up’ button from your desired membership tier.
Additionally, you can contact us by Phone or email and we will arrange a time to come and see you to sign up.

Eligibility
What properties are eligible for CHC Membership?
CHC Membership is for all types of residential homes in the Liverpool City Region — houses, flats, apartments etc. Whether you need small fixes or full-scale renovations, we’ve got you covered.
Exclusions apply to; Commercial properties, Airbnb rentals, or properties with structural hazards (e.g., rotted joists, woodworm, subsidence, faulty gas/electrical incoming supply).
Can tenants become chc members, or do i need to own my home?
Absolutely! Our aim is to offer piece of mind that we are there to help our community look after their home. As either a home owner or a tenant living in rented property (social or private), you can have that piece of mind. RCR will require tenants to provide written evidence that the landlord/ property owner has given permission for the property to be maintained.
Can minor issues (e.g., small damp patches) disqualify me?
While we prioritize legal compliance, we are local community tradesmen trying to offer a service like no other.Â
We will always try to help if the issue is within your membership tier’s cost constraints, however this may not always be possible.

Annual Electrical Visual Inspection
A visual inspection of your electrical systems to ensure safety and performance.
Annual Plumbing Visual Inspection
A visual inspection of your plumbing systems to ensure safety and performance.
Standby Availability: Reduced call-out charge for electrical or plumbing issues.
Reduced (£50.00) standards call-out charge (usually £100.00) for electrical or plumbing issues (hourly rate applies for work performed).
Fast Scheduling for Emergency Maintenance
What’s included in the Standard CHC MEMBERSHIP tier?
Ideal for essential home maintenance support & peace of mind that we are here to help you, with added protection and routine maintenance.
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR):
An inspection (limited) of your electrical system every 5 years to ensure safety standards are met.
Annual Plumbing Visual Inspection.
A visual inspection of your plumbing systems to ensure safety and performance.
Fast Scheduling for Emergency Maintenance
Standby Availability: Standard Call-out charges are free
No standard call-out charge (usually £100.00) for electrical or plumbing issues (hourly rate applies for work performed).
Two Routine Maintenance visits per year
Checks on your home’s systems. For repairs like fixing leaks, bleeding radiators, or replacing broken sockets.
No call-out fee for these visits.
Standard Labour rates apply for additional works
Discounts on Additional Services:
As a Standard Member, you receive 10% discounts on any additional work, including emergency services and installations. (CHC services excluded)
What’s included in the Premium CHC MEMBERSHIP tier?
The Premium CHC Membership provides the best protection and preventative maintenance for you and your home.
Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR):
A comprehensive inspection of your electrical system every 5 years to ensure safety standards are met.
Annual Plumbing Visual Inspection.
A visual inspection of your plumbing systems to ensure safety and performance.
Annual Gas Safety Check
A Gas safety inspection of your heating/ hot water systems to ensure safety and performance.
Unlimited Routine Maintenance Visits;
Enjoy unlimited visits for routine maintenance. (No call-out charges or hourly rates for any routine maintenance eg., fixing taps, minor pipe fixes etc)
Priority Scheduling for All Services:
Get ahead of the line with priority scheduling for all electrical and plumbing services, from emergency repairs to installations.
Free Annual Home Safety Inspection:
A comprehensive yearly safety inspection of your entire home to identify potential hazards to pre-empt faults and ensure everything is working smoothly.
Discounts on All Additional Services:
As a Premium Member, you can save even more with a 15% discount on any extra services or installations you need throughout the year. (CHC services excluded)
Can I upgrade my membership tier later?
Yes, you can upgrade your membership tier at any time by using your log in details and choosing to upgrade your membership to the desired membership tier.
Questions for members
How do i book a call out/ service as a CHC Member?
You can contact RCR via the online contact form, Email, or give us a call. Simply give your details such as name, username, address, details (required to assess the member is who they say they are) and then RCR will do an admin check to check membership is up to date, we will then contact you to book a convenient timeslot to attend.
As a member, you can schedule maintenance visits by contacting our team. CHC Basic and Standard Members have priority scheduling, while CHC Premium Members enjoy the fastest access to scheduling for all services.

How do I file a claim under my CHC Membership?

What if the engineer says the issue is “pre-existing”?
The engineer will explain their reasoning (e.g., leaks ignored before joining).
We’ll still try to help if costs are reasonable for your tier.
No appeal process once the engineer’s decision is made.
What documentation is needed for a claim?
Proof of membership (ID/address) and payment history (accessible via RCR accounts).
Costs & billing
Are there setup/activation fees?
Yes (amount not yet finalized – contact us for updates).
Can I upgrade my tier mid-subscription?
Yes! Upgrades take effect the day we receive payment. Available on rolling monthly contracts after the initial 12-month period.
Do I get a refund if I cancel within 30 days?
No. A £25 admin fee applies if cancelling within 3 months. Charges for repairs/call-outs during this period are also recoverable.
Renewals & cancellation
How does membership renew?
Auto-renews monthly after the initial 12-month period. You can pause membership after this period.
Can I pause my membership?
Yes, after the initial 12-month period. Membership resumes when payments restart.
Can I cancel my membership?
You can cancel your membership following your initial sign up period.
Please contact our team to process your cancellation. If you cancel within the first three months, you willÂ
not be charged further.Â
For cancellations after the first three months, your membership will remain active until the end of the current billingÂ
cycle.
