Supporting Liverpool city region’s Most Vulnerable – One Repair at a Time
We help those in need while keeping homes safe, warm, and sustainable

At Renovate Community Repair CIC, we believe a safe, warm, functioning home is a foundation for health, dignity and wellbeing. Through our Community Support programme, we help households across the Liverpool City Region facing urgent or ongoing home safety & maintenance challenges, prioritising those who are vulnerable, low‑income or without access to other resources.
what we do
We provide practical trade based support for issues like;
• Unsafe or failing electrical systems / wiring
• Leaks, broken plumbing, burst pipes
• Broken heating, radiators or boiler faults
• Trip hazards (uneven flooring, loose stairs or handrails)
• Windows or doors that do not close or seal properly, causing heat loss or security risks
• Garden or external repairs that impact safety or access (e.g. overgrown paths, broken fences)
• Other essential maintenance that, if left, could cause damage to health, safety or wellbeing
Who We Help
We are open to try and help as many people as we can, so we will consider any circumstances of need, we especially keen to try and support those who have had trouble accessing support from other services due to their circumstances.
You may be eligible if:
You live in the Liverpool City Region;
You are in financial hardship, or have circumstances which make home maintenance difficult (age, disability, caring responsibilities, health issues, etc.);
Your home needs repairs that you cannot afford or manage alone;
You do not have another provider already scheduled to help / or you are waiting for help.
Some examples of groups we will try to help could be (but not limited to);
Elderly Residents
Example: A 70-year-old widow in Anfield struggling with a broken boiler in winter.
Why: Risk of hypothermia; no family to assist and no social housing support.
Low-Income Families
Example: A family in Huyton with faulty electrics in their home.
Why: Immediate safety hazard for children & the parents.
Disabled Individuals
Example: A wheelchair user in St Helens needing a ramp installed.
Why: Current steps are unsafe; council funding delayed or waiting lists elongated.
Community Halls/Charities
Example: A Kirkby elderly day centre with leaking toilet.
Why: No budget for repairs; impacts on the use of the facility for the community.
Children and Adults at Risk:Â
Example: A referral from a domestic abuse charity for a lady needing floor coverings after moving from sheltered/ homeless accommodation to a fresh start home.
Why: This includes children and adults who are in need of special care or protection due to age, disability, or risk of abuse or neglect.Â
